Eurowings put a Christmas sweater on every seat

Eurowings had designed a sweater that they wanted to make for staff, fans, followers, influencers and passengers. They wanted fully knitted sweaters with custom labels in their exact colours.

Roody started by checking the design and making a custom sample. The colours matched the Eurowings pantone and the client absolutely loved the sample. After checking quality, the client went ahead with making 2,000 sweaters.

Each sweater was fully knitted with custom labels added to the neck. The sweaters were knitted, stitched, washed, ironed and folded before being placed in labelled bags and added to boxes. Each sweater was carefully checked by our Quality Assurance team before being delivered in boxes to the client.

The campaign was very clever - the sweaters would be given to influencers, staff members, followers and customers. The custom sweaters would become an item of envy. One of the most impactful events was to give a sweater to each lucky client on a flight in December.

Each seat had a sweater on the back which was a great surprise for each passenger. Pilots also wore the sweaters as did the crew staff. The pictures were amazing and were shared throughout social media.

The cabin crew wore them. The pilots wore them — the same sweater as the one waiting on every passenger seat, worn front of house for the whole flight.

That is the difference between branded clothing that gets handed out and branded clothing that becomes part of an event. The people representing the airline were wearing the same thing as the people flying with it.
